Eurodance 2011! Video Blog
A blog has been created for the final competition entries. It can be found at http://eurodance2011videos.blogspot.com/ This will allow schools to watch all of the final entries more easily. Please post your videos as normal to this blog and they will be transferred for you :)
Project Overview
The project will officially begin on Monday 14th of March 2011. Each school should introduce themselves to the other contestants by posting details of their school/class on the blog (http://eurodance2011.blogspot.com) by Friday 1st April 2011. This could be a short video, pictures or information typed into the blog. Each school should also include details of their chosen dance.
Each school should then practise their dance and film their final performance. This video should be uploaded to the blog by Friday 3rd June 2011.
All schools should then watch the completed performances and score each school out of 10, except their own, on the online voting system by Friday 10th June 2011. The scores will be added together and the winner posted on the blog.
The winning school will be rewarded with a trophy! All schools will receive a certificate for taking part.

AGIA NAPA PRIMARY SCHOOL - CYPRUS
Hello. We are the “Agia Napa Primary school” in Cyprus. Our School is located in Agia Napa, a small tourist town on the southwestern part of Cyprus, very close to the occupied town of Famagusta. Our school is the biggest public primary school of Famagusta area and it has 290 pupils. In our school we have also a department for pupils with special needs. A big percentage of our pupils (40% ) come from different European countries, like the U.K , Bulgaria, Romania, Poland and Russia or from mixed marriage. The percentage of foreign students attending the school keeps rising over the past few years because a lot of people come to Agia Napa either as workers on tourist field or as immigrants willing to live in a quiet seaside resort near the town of Agia Napa. Last year Cyprus won “Eurodance 2010” with the “ First Elementary School of Xylofagou” .We hope that we will do the same with our school this year.
Hustopece Primary School - The Czech Republic
We are a Primary School in Hustopeče, the Czech Republic. Our school has 333 pupils from 6 to 15 years and 22 teachers. We participated in the project Eurodance last year and we want to be the part of it again. We are looking forward to learning our new dance. Our website is www.zs-nadrazni.cz.

Plymouth Grove Primary School is a large school in the Longsight area of Manchester, UK. We took part in Eurodance 2010 and loved it. Last year we tried some Morris dancing. This year we are going to try some traditional country dancing. We can't wait!

We are a junior high school in the South West of France. Our small city is located near Sarlat next to the famous prehistorical site of Lascaux. We are pupils from 12 to 14 from different classes. Our school is quite small (about 300 children).

The 5th Primary School is situated in the north part of Florina. The school has a history of more than 80 years. It is a public School that receives money from the government and follows the government criteria in every aspect. The schooling ages range from six to twelve years old. We are also in an area steeped in Celtic History, with the 'Hill of Uisneach' (the ancient seat of the High Kings of Ireland) and 'Cró Inis' (crannóg) and Dún na Sciath along the banks of Lough Ennell all in our Parish.

The Istituto Statale “E. Montale” is a state secondary school which has four different types of courses for high school students between the ages of fourteen and nineteen. Each Liceo Linguistico-Turistico is a humanities course which gives emphasis to the study of modern languages. Students study a choice of three European languages and learn about the lives and culture of their European peers, they also study tourism, in particular regarding the supply and demand of tourism in Tuscany and the Valdera (the countryside around Pontedera). Children go to school from Monday to Saturday from 7.50 a.m to 12.50 p.m. Students in our school participate in cultural exchanges or study trips with their European counterparts, LLP programmes and work placement projects depending on the course followed.

Our school is an educational institution for students with mental disabilities. It is located in Bucharest, the Romanian capital. Our school has 129 students with special needs (with intellectual disabilities, language disorders , with autism and related disabilities). Some of these students are at risk of social exclusion: children from broken families and poor economic status, young gypsies, children coming from disadvantaged social backgrounds, children from orphanages.
